ROLE OVERVIEW

This role will support Brainly’s global operations from legal, compliance and regulatory perspectives with a focus on general commercial contract review and employment law advice for Brainly in Europe (particularly Poland and Spain).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Advise on general legal, regulatory and compliance matters with respect to ongoing business activities
• Act as a legal business partner across the various functions in order to support the achievement of the organization’s financial and operational goals and strategies
• Review and negotiate general commercial agreements
• Review European labor contracts and advise on employment/labor law issues
• Manage company secretarial work, such as corporate filings and minutes of meetings
• Manage external counsel to address specific and discrete legal issues globally
• Implement and manage legal operations

WHAT MAKES YOU THE PERFECT CANDIDATE

• Minimum of 5 years’ practice experience with a top-tier law firm or multinational company, preferably experience in tech company
• Duly qualified to practice law in Poland
• Excellent academic credentials
• Experience in a multinational tech company
• Experience in employment law
• Impeccable judgment in the identification of issues and the recommendation and implementation of creative, pragmatic, and actionable solutions that are risk balanced
• A problem solver who is open to new ideas and new approaches and is comfortable dealing with change and uncertainty
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced and fast-changing environment with stakeholders around the world
• Strong communication, writing, presentation and organizational skills
• Strong legal project management skills
• Strong command of the details of relevant laws and regulations, but with an ability to make these laws and regulations understandable for a business audience
• Good emotional intelligence to support work in a dynamic environment

WHAT WILL BLOW OUR MINDS

• Experience in complex intellectual property / licensing contracting
• Experience in supporting corporate legal operations, such as board of director and shareholder actions
• Understanding of legal operations, including process implementation to support scaling
