Senior Engineer (Edge Compute)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to help us deliver bunny.net Edge Compute platform. In this role, you will help us build a next-generation edge computing platform designed for global distribution and optimized for running containerized applications. Your experience and skills will be key to shaping this cutting-edge technology.

What will you do?

• Act as a senior, 'hands-on' member of the Engineering team, focusing on the design, construction, and training of in-house, greenfield Edge Compute platform components.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain innovative, distributed, and scalable components like container orchestrators, application auto-scalers, provisioners, container monitors, overlay network orchestrators, routing engines, etc.
• Oversee architecture, planning, and system implementation.
• Adhere to and promote best practices, standards, and procedures.
• Write and maintain comprehensive tests.
• Handle the writing and management of documentation.
• Have an opportunity to author patent applications.

What will you add?

• Proven track record of 4-5+ years in commercial software development/engineering, with proficiency in C# (experience in C++, Rust, or Golang is also valuable).
• Solid experience with concurrent programming and multi-threading.
• Strong understanding of container orchestration solutions like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Comfortable collaborating in cross-functional teams to set timescales.
• Independent work style coupled with effective communication skills.
• Expertise in Secure Coding practices.
• Skilled in identifying and optimizing performance-critical issues.
• Experience working in CI/CD and Agile development environments.
