What you'll be doing
You'll own our financial housekeeping and make sure everything runs clean:
- Maintain and prepare our bookkeeping in Datev — accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, the works
- Match incoming and outgoing cash flows with the right invoices and flag discrepancies
- Handle invoicing for our revenue streams — subscriptions, B2B partnerships, and ad-hoc billing
- Prepare and support monthly and annual financial closes
- Manage recurring payment runs and keep vendor accounts tidy
- Assist with VAT filings and liaise with our tax advisor as needed
- Jump in on broader financial topics — business plan input, grant applications, cost tracking, whatever needs a sharp eye
What we are looking for
- Fluent in German, written and spoken — this is non-negotiable
- You know Datev inside out
- Solid grasp of HGB accounting standards and German tax basics
- Experience with other accounting or ERP tools is a nice bonus
- You work independently, stay on top of deadlines, and don't need hand-holding
- Available to start soon
