Jr. Operations Manager (Part-time)

We usually respond within three days

Lace Lithography is redefining the limits of physics to build the next generation of microchip manufacturing - using atoms instead of light to pattern silicon wafers. We’re a high-growth deep-tech startup tackling unprecedented engineering challenges to shape the future of computing.

As we transition from R&D to large-scale engineering and manufacturing, we’re looking for a proactive and organized Junior Operations Manager to help us scale. This is a rare opportunity to join a world-class team at the forefront of technology and play a hands-on role in building the operational backbone of a company that’s pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

About the Role:

As a Junior Operations Manager at Lace Lithography, you'll work alongside our core operations team to drive the execution of critical processes and initiatives at a fast-growing deep-tech startup.

You’ll play an integral part in scaling our operations as we move from an R&D phase into full-scale engineering and manufacturing. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge technology and the chance to develop practical experience in high-level operational management in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do

  • Operational Strategy and Execution: Assist in defining and implementing operational strategies to support growth, including streamlining workflows and identifying process improvements.
  • Procurement & Inventory Management: Take ownership of procuring materials and lab components, managing inventory in the labs and warehouse, and working closely with external vendors.
  • Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with various departments (Engineering, R&D, HR, Finance) to ensure seamless operations and to help standardize processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Help implement continuous improvement initiatives, monitor operational performance, and suggest improvements to support scaling

Who you are

  • Educational Background: You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior internship or project experience in operations, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. Proficient with office tools like Google Workspace, Notion, and Slack. Familiarity with inventory management software or ERP systems is a bonus.
  • Soft Skills: You’re a self-starter, with a passion for optimization and a keen attention to detail. You're proactive, adaptable, and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Language: Fluent in English (Norwegian is a plus but not required).

What We Offer:

  • Growth and Learning: Develop skills in operations management, project coordination, and scaling processes within a deep-tech startup.
  • Mentorship and Career Development: Work closely with senior leaders in a rapidly growing startup and gain exposure to the operational side of cutting-edge technology.
  • Collaborative Environment: Join a tight-knit, passionate team with a commitment to innovation and excellence.
  • Flexibility: Enjoy flexible work hours in a dynamic and inclusive work environment.
