As we transition from R&D to large-scale engineering and manufacturing, we’re looking for a proactive and organized Junior Operations and Finance Manager to help us scale. About the Role

As a Jr. Operations and Finance Manager at Lace Lithography in Barcelona, you'll work alongside our core operations team to drive the execution of critical processes and initiatives at a fast-growing deep-tech startup.

You’ll play an integral part in scaling our operations as we move from an R&D phase into full-scale engineering and manufacturing. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge technology and the chance to develop practical experience in high-level operational management in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Office & Environment: Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Barcelona office, ensuring a high-quality work environment, managing local facilities, and overseeing the onsite experience for the team, including the support for employee lifecycle, from assisting with local onboarding for new hires to coordinating team initiatives.
  • Accounting: Manage all accounting operations for Spain, including bookkeeping and reconciliations, assisting in preparing actual cash flow, and ensuring complete documentation for month-end closing.
  • Budgeting & Financial Tracking: Maintain a close eye on the budget, keeping accurate track of expenditures, processing invoices, and helping to forecast operational costs as we scale.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for local service providers and suppliers, managing contracts and ensuring we receive high-quality service across all office functions.
  • Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with various departments (Engineering, R&D, HR) to ensure seamless operations and to help standardize processes across all Lace locations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Help implement continuous improvement initiatives, monitor operational performance, and suggest improvements to support scaling.

Who you are:

  • Educational Background: You are currently enrolled or hold a degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior internship or project experience in finance, operations, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. Relationship Management & Project Coordination.
  • Soft Skills: You’re a self-starter, with a passion for optimization and a keen attention to detail. You're proactive, adaptable, and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Spanish GAAP: Understanding of local accounting standards and VAT (IVA) regulations would be a big plus.
  • Language: Fluent in English and Spanish, Catalan is a plus.
