Lace Lithography is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / Architect to join our Engineering team. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for mechanical architecture, definition and design of high-tech lithography systems. Working alongside physicists, chemists and engineers in a multidisciplinary environment, you will play a critical role in development of high-end, complex mechanical systems to the highest standards of modern lithography technology from concept phase throughout development and delivery to the end customer, in partnership and collaboration with top international players in the industry.

This role is based in Eindhoven (the Netherlands) and will involve regular travel between our key locations and partners throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translating system performance specifications to mechanical sub-systems requirements

  • Definition and ownership of mechanical system architecture, design concepts and budget breakdowns to ensure system performance targets are met

  • Selecting and guiding OEM supplier and partner teams during system definition and design, in line with our developing goals and challenges

  • Guiding the growth and coaching mechanical engineering team of the size and skill level matching product and company development, including proper documentation, introduction of best practices, standards and ways of working

  • Contributing to technology and product roadmaps, identify risks and mitigations strategies

  • Closely collaborate with other disciplines, teams, system engineers and program management


Qualifications

  • University degree in precision Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or related filed

  • 10-15+ years experience developing complex and precision mechanical systems in a high-tech environment, from first principles to concept, industrialization and high-volume manufacturing, including ownership of system architecture, function or domain

  • Expert knowledge in Requirements Engineering, System Engineering and Product development process

  • Hands on as well as conceptual thinking, ability to deep dive and zoom out to system level

  • Stakeholder management, ability to explain, trade-off and defend complex engineering decisions and choices

  • Fluent with CAD sw, ability to perform, guide and evaluate FEA / CFD simulations and benchmarking data, tolerance analysis
