We are seeking a Collections Team Lead who is both a skilled individual contributor in collections and an inspiring leader for a team of collection agents. This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency, compliance, and success of our collections efforts, both internally and with third-party partners. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational, leadership, and data-driven problem-solving skills to optimize collections performance.

What you will own:

  • Lead and Mentor the Collections Team:

    • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to collection agents to ensure best practices are followed.

    • Hold team members accountable to performance metrics and implement strategies to help them achieve their goals.

    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.

  • Process Optimization:
    • Design and implement streamlined workflows to enhance operational effectiveness.

    • Evaluate and improve internal and third-party collection processes to increase efficiency and success rates.

  • Vendor Management:

    • Act as a primary liaison with third-party partners.

    • Maintain a firm yet professional approach to vendor management, ensuring partners deliver favorable resolutions for Lendio and maintain compliance with agreed-upon terms.

  • Collections Expertise:

    • Oversee and participate in collections activities, including complex cases, ensuring adherence to legal regulations and ethical standards.

    • Develop and refine collection strategies tailored to various customer scenarios and risks.

  • ERC (Employee Retention Credit) Experience (Preferred, but not required):

    • Leverage experience with ERC processes to ensure proper handling and collections related to these cases.

    • Stay updated on ERC-specific announcements and regulations and integrate them into collections workflows.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Use data skills (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) to track, analyze, and report on collection metrics and team performance.

    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve outcomes and meet KPIs.

What you need to be successful:

  • Proven collection experience, including understanding collection strategies, regulations, and legalities.

  • Experience managing or leading a team, preferably in a collections environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Employee Retention Credit (ERC) processes and related collections (preferred, but not required).

  • Vendor management experience, with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Proficiency in Excel and other data tools for analysis and reporting.

  • Process-oriented mindset with a proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range:

$75k, $120 OTE
