Lendio is seeking a seasoned information security professional. This critical role will drive our information security strategy, protecting the integrity and confidentiality of our customers' data across our industry-leading small business financing marketplace, Intelligent Lending, and Embedded Lending.

What you will own:

• Lead our Information Security Strategy/Coordination: Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and protocols for our systems architecture, internal operations, and processes. In this role, you will collaborate heavily with individuals from our engineering, IT, systems architecture, compliance, operations and legal teams.

• Threat Hunting and Risk Management: Proactively investigate potential threats to systems, applications and people/processes. Identify bad actors, monitor for patterns of abuse, and uncover vulnerabilities that could be exploited. Routinely test our processes and procedures and uncover unexploited vectors before bad actors can.

• Incident Management: Proactively prepare for future incidents through process improvement, retrospectives, tabletop exercises. Improve incident management plans through continuous iteration and learning.

• Security Awareness: Conduct regular training sessions to educate employees on security best practices and ensure adherence to security protocols.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies, continuously enhancing our security posture.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Extensive Experience in Information Security: Proven track record in managing security for B2B SaaS products, preferably within financial institutions or enterprise environments.

• Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in security technologies and practices, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.

• Effective Communication: Excellent ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Project Management: Strong organizational and communication skills, and experience leading cross-functional projects.

• Collaborative Spirit: Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams to implement security solutions.

• Strong Skills in Data: Experience in querying SQL databases, Snowflake, and other BI tools in evaluating security and data practices.

• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
