Senior Commercial Loan Consultant

We are seeking a highly experienced middle-market lending expert to engage with growing businesses ($2.5M–$100M revenue) and their financial decision-makers. In this role, you will work directly with CFOs, Controllers, and business owners to structure complex financing solutions, including senior secured loans, asset-based lending, mezzanine debt, and alternative financing. Your ability to build deep strategic lending relationships and navigate structured credit markets will be key to your success.

You will manage inbound leads from our marketing and current/future referral partners (CPAs, M&A advisors, private equity firms, and bankers), proactively generate new business, and structure loan solutions that help mid-market companies scale.

You will be paired with an assistant to help manage documentation and loan processing, allowing you to focus on relationship-building and structuring deals.

What you will own:

  • Strategic Lending Advisory: Act as a trusted financing advisor to middle-market businesses, helping structure custom funding solutions tailored to their growth, expansion, and refinancing needs.

  • Lead Qualification & Deal Structuring: Assess borrower financials, EBITDA performance, leverage ratios, and asset-backed financing potential to structure optimal loan packages.

  • Financing Strategy Development: Advise businesses on capital structure optimization, guiding them through options such as senior debt, ABL, SBA, mezzanine, and alternative lending.

  • Relationship Management: Build long-term, consultative relationships with CFOs, Controllers, and business owners, going beyond transactional lending.

  • Pipeline Growth & Business Development: Actively generate new deal flow through referrals, direct outreach to private equity firms, business brokers, and investment bankers.

  • Collaborate with Lenders: Work with bank and non-bank lenders, private credit funds, and institutional investors to secure the best funding solutions.

  • Portfolio Management: Maintain and nurture a portfolio of business clients, providing proactive capital solutions for their evolving needs.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 5+ years of experience in middle-market lending, commercial banking, private credit, or structured finance

  • 5+ years of sales experience, with a demonstrated ability to exceed sales goals.

  • Top performer track record.

  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to business development, including the ability to generate outbound leads and create a pipeline of referrals.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.

Success Measurements:

Your success will be measured by the volume of capital deployed to businesses on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. A strong focus will be placed on the growth of your book of business, through new loan origination, refinancing and renewals as well as the continued satisfaction of your borrowers.

Pay Range:

$120,000 + OTE
