We are looking for a passionate and experienced Finance Lead / Head of Finance who will work with and steer key day-to-day activities together with the CEO, CFO and other members of the senior leadership team to drive our financial initiatives, with a clear focus on the areas of corporate finance (incl. FP&A) and accounting.
As Finance Lead / Head of Finance at Monite you will own and cover a broad spectrum of tasks and ensure that all daily financial and accounting initiatives are efficiently and diligently executed while maintaining a wide level of freedom with the opportunity to learn, grow and make a true impact.
Requirements
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Finance Lead / Head of Finance who will work with and steer key day-to-day activities together with the CEO, CFO and other members of the senior leadership team to drive our financial initiatives, with a clear focus on the areas of corporate finance (incl. Requirements
- Entire ownership of the (preparatory) accounting process while maintaining relationships across all functions as well as external stakeholders (e.g. tax accountants, auditors, etc.)
- Steering of the preparation of financial statements (incl. consolidated group accounts) as well as the annual budget, quarterly planning, and investor reporting
- Preparation of routine reports and summaries for the management team as well as tracking and communication of various relevant business KPIs
- Financial modelling and business plan ownership (incl. analysis and scenario modelling)
- Assistance in all fundraising initiatives as well as strategic projects (e.g. M&A)
- Successfully completed university degree with a focus on finance/accounting or a comparable qualification (top university is a plus)
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in a (senior) finance capacity, ideally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment (fintech start-up/scale-up strongly preferred)
- Sound knowledge of accounting regulations according to HGB or IFRS (US GAAP is a plus)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Highly organised with great attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Proficient user of accounting systems (e.g. DATEV) and MS Office (Lucanet or Power BI is a plus)
- Fluent in English (German or Russian is a plus)
- Ability to shape corporate financial management of tomorrow through embedded finance
