Аbout us:

OfficeRnD has one mission - making flexible and hybrid working a norm rather than an option.

We started building our SaaS platform back in 2015 to support the future of work. We believe that having freedom and flexibility is the way to provide better workspace experience. That’s what enables us to develop products that matter - for our customers and for the world.

The company has offices in Bulgaria, USA, UK, Australia and our teammates are the ones getting us to the top in our market niche.

If you live and breathe technology as well, come and join us!

About the role:

We are looking for a seasoned VP of Engineering to lead our global engineering team through a critical organizational reset. This is a transformative leadership role, responsible for unifying the engineering org, improving execution, and building a high-performance culture.

You’ll work closely with Product, CTO, and company leadership to ensure that engineering becomes a predictable, strategic driver of business outcomes.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and evolve the engineering organization (~45 engineers), spanning product hubs, platform, and infrastructure teams.
  • Build a scalable org structure and enforce clear ownership, accountability, and performance standards.
  • Drive predictable delivery: enforce metrics (say/do ratio, cycle time, bug throughput) and deliver 90%+ of committed roadmap scope each quarter.
  • Partner with architects on platform scalability, reliability, and modernization.
  • Strengthen engineering management: mentor, grow, or upgrade the current leadership layer.
  • Build a culture of ownership, transparency, and results—with enough structure to scale, and enough trust to move fast.

What you need to succeed:

  • 10+ years in engineering leadership, including at least 5 years managing managers and/or directors.
  • Proven track record of scaling SaaS engineering teams (30–50+ engineers) in high-growth environments.
  • Deep expertise in operational execution, engineering metrics, and organizational design.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, delegate, and hold teams accountable.
  • Experience driving cultural transformation in underperforming or fragmented orgs.

Experience with the following would be a plus:

  • Experience in private equity-backed SaaS companies.
  • Familiarity with DORA metrics, agile at scale, and SRE practices.
  • Background in platform engineering or architecture is a plus.

What we offer in return is the opportunity to join a talented team and also enjoy:

  • Premium health insurance incl. dental.
  • 25 days off a year.
  • 1 additional day off for your birthday.
  • 3 days off for volunteering.
  • Full remuneration of your first 3 days of sick leave.
  • A combination of remote and on-site (a minimum of 40% of the monthly working time).
  • A fantastic work-hard/play-hard start-up environment - we have numerous social events and team outings.
  • Take part in many sports activities and enjoy a co-funded MultiSport card.
