About the role:
As an Accounting Manager you’ll be responsible for leading and executing the full spectrum of accounting activities across all operating entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. You’ll manage general accounting, billing and invoicing, consolidation, tax and statutory compliance, and monthly and annual close processes.
To be successful in this role, you need to be hands-on, extremely detail-oriented, and experienced in managing multi-entity, multi-currency financial operations, preferably in the SaaS industry.
What you’ll do:
- Lead all accounting operations across Bulgaria, UK, US, and Australia, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and accurate month- and year-end close.
- Manage multi-entity consolidation and ensure consistent application of accounting policies and standards.
- Oversee tax and statutory compliance in all operating countries, coordinating with local advisors.
- Own the billing and invoicing process for subscription services, ensuring accuracy, proper revenue recognition, and continuous improvement of related workflows.
- Oversee payroll, external audits, and other compliance-driven processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and strong financial governance.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures, ensuring strong financial governance and audit readiness.
- Drive process improvements and automation across accounting, billing, and reporting systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, People, Sales, Legal, and Operations to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and ensure alignment.
What you need to succeed:
- 3+ years of accounting leadership experience, with exposure to multi-entity and multi-currency operations.
- Experience in the software or SaaS industry, with solid understanding of subscription revenue models.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP, tax compliance, consolidation principles, and proficiency with modern accounting and billing systems.
- Hands on experience coordinating external audits and managing auditor relationships.
- Familiarity with evolving accounting regulations and ability to implement changes.
- Fluency in English.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or similar).
