PASQAL designs and develops Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) and associated software tools.

Our innovative technology enables us to address use cases that are currently beyond the reach of the most powerful supercomputers; these cases can concern industrial application challenges as well as fundamental science needs.

Job Description

As a Quantum Error Correction (QEC) engineer, your mission will be to participate in development QEC protocols and simulate error processes in complex quantum systems.

These simulations and protocols will be used by R&D teams to have better insights into the existing systems and to find fault-tolerant performances of quantum computing algorithms.

Your mission and responsibilities:

• Participation in inventive activities for developing QEC protocols and searching fault-tolerant quantum computations protocols
• Performing analytical and numerical calculations in quantum information and atomic physics problems
• Collaborations with R&D teams
• Report and documentation writing
• Filling patents

About you

• PhD in quantum physics, or quantum optics, or atomic physics, or solid-state physics or theoretical physics REQUIRED
• Atomic and quantum physics (master level)
• Good practice in analytical modelling and numerical simulations
• Quantum (classical desirable) information theory
• Quantum (classical desirable) error correction and fault tolerance
• Autonomy and ability to work as a member of the team
• A keen interest in fundamental science and new technologies

Plus:

• Experience in collaboration with experimentalists

English and French professional proficiency is mandatory to work in PASQAL's international environment.
