Join us at Sydecar, as we lead the charge in revolutionizing private investing.

About the opportunity

We are looking for an Account Executive who can help Sydecar grow its revenues, brand, and market position by closing sales in its SPV and Fund+ products. This is a great opportunity to get exposure to the venture asset class and to connect with emerging and established venture managers to solve their critical problems relating to their back- and middle-office stack. You’ll be part of a caring and high-aptitude team and can help build the pipes for the private markets.

The sales team drives revenue and growth by nurturing leads through the funnel, closing deals, and employing tactics to retain and grow relationships. The sales team is the face of Sydecar to the broader market, reflecting our brand, values, and solutions. The sales function works cross-functionally with marketing, customer support, and products to help Sydecar position itself and acquire customers, drive customer success, and reflect customer feedback to help iterate on our products.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings and effectively communicate their value to prospects.

  • Own a quota and book of business for our core SPV and Fund+ products, including nurturing leads through the sales pipeline to signing and launching of a deal.

  • Conduct product demos for prospects.

  • Identify opportunities to increase average customer value by upselling, cross-selling, and communicating new product releases.

  • Have command over your book of business and related metrics and data.

  • Proactively manage and nurture a healthy sales pipeline to ensure consistent revenue growth.

  • Regularly update and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status in our CRM.

  • Ensure proper CRM process and hygiene for your book of business.

  • Support product development in obtaining customer feedback.

  • Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to ensure that customers are set up for success and seamlessly guided through their journey.

What we're looking for

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.

  • 2+ years in a sales or business development/partnerships role, selling to sophisticated individuals or B2B.

  • Proven ability to handle high-volume sales funnel.

  • Willingness for modest business travel.

  • Ability to meet with local customers in person and attend local industry events.

  • High EQ with a genuine love for helping others solve their problems.

  • Self-starter with an ability to operate in uncertainty.

  • Knowledgable about CRMs and marketing automation software.

  • Knowledgable about sales pipeline data and KPIs.

  • Data-driven and analytical.

  • Process oriented with strong discipline around pipeline management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications.

  • Team player who is mission driven and values collective success.

Bonus if you have

  • Experience selling in financial services or alternative investments.

  • Experience working in a startup or fintech.

  • Experience in fund administration or have sold to private fund managers.

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about venture capital and/or private markets. **
