This leaves investors the freedom to concentrate on what matters most: making valuable deals and nurturing meaningful relationships.

Join us at Sydecar, as we lead the charge in revolutionizing private investing.

About the opportunity

Sydecar is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead our mission of enabling thousands of new investors to do what they do best — identify and back entrepreneurs who are changing the world.

In this high-impact role, you will take ownership of the product experience for an innovative solution tailored to support fund managers. You will play a key role in shaping the product's functionality and user experience to meet the needs of fund managers navigating the complexities of venture capital. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Product Management practices as we scale. If you are passionate about setting new standards for private market interactions, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact!

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco or New York with in-office attendance two days per week.

What you'll do

  • Own a high priority product in collaboration with the Design and Engineering team.

  • Manage the roadmap by driving discussion and alignment relative to prioritization, resource allocation, and strategic goals.

  • Help shape a best-in-class product development process, from ideation, to validation, to launch, and post-launch analysis.

  • Enrich your understanding of the fintech industry, private market landscape, and competitive trends to ensure our product remains a leader in our space.

  • Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to identify pain points and opportunities for future product development efforts.

  • Act as a key point of contact for high-profile stakeholders and clients, effectively communicating and aligning product strategies. This includes prioritization and tradeoffs, as well as ensuring all stakeholders understand what is on the roadmap and why.

What we're looking for

  • You love getting the best out of your cross-functional partners as you guide products to launch. You value input and collaboration, and you strive to get alignment and buy-in among the group. You're an adaptable and experienced Product Manager who enjoys working across all aspects of product development, from brainstorming ideas with design to gathering statistics on product performance, to getting in the weeds with engineering.

  • You are curious and a relentless problem solver. You are excited to learn about the rapidly changing alternative investment space. You strive to deeply understand customer pain points and are excited to synthesize the business’ insights into an actionable plan.

  • You constantly seek data and user feedback. You start from the user’s perspective and exercise agency to constantly seek to validate the business’ ideas and better understand the real humans using our product. You define and analyze metrics to validate your hypotheses and measure impact.

  • You know the value of crisp, detailed communication and organization. Your job is to articulate the why as much as the what. You know that storytelling is a powerful tool to drive alignment and understanding, and you are committed to a written culture.

  • You know how to ruthlessly prioritize. You are comfortable working with limited information to set objectives, develop strong hypotheses, make decisions and own the results. You are comfortable driving cross-functional alignment on our priorities—from the backlog to a 6-12 month roadmap.

  • You are rigorous. You sweat the details, thinking through edge cases, and strive for completeness. You bring an investigative mindset to identifying problems and to solutioning.

  • You are process-oriented. You are steeped in best practices relating to processes, habits, and rituals and you bring consistent, high-quality output that your teammates can rely on.

  • 2+ years experience as a Product Manager in fintech or financial services is a requirement.

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university.

  • Bonus points if you have experience in and/or are knowledgeable in alternative investments, fund accounting, or private markets transactions.

You’ll enjoy these benefits

  • Competitive Salary

  • Generous medical, dental, & vision

  • Bonus Plan

  • Equity

  • Exceptional 401(k) Plan

  • PTO

  • Parental Leave

  • Commuter Benefits
