We are looking for a dedicated and talented Delivery Manager to help us ensure that the right people are doing the right work, at the right time and in the most efficient way possible. More than managing specific projects, the Delivery Manager is tasked with creating an environment conducive to agility, predictability, momentum and continual improvement.

You'll work alongside our product team who are accountable for providing an outstanding experience for both retailers/brokers and their customers. We work to deliver regulatory improvements, new features, technical upgrades, new solutions and customer experience improvements.

The role:

Reporting to the Head of Product, Transformation and Change
Working alongside Product Managers, Engineering Managers and Technical Leads
Responsible for being proactive in helping squads find time and space to reflect on and to improve team mood, morale and motivation
Handling numerous responsibilities that drive two key outcomes, these are increased predictability and increased momentum
Facilitating objective setting, road mapping, stakeholder engagement, surfacing and resolving blockers, shielding engineers from distraction and generally doing what needs to be done to allow squads to plan, prioritise and execute effectively
Proactively working with teams to identify opportunities to embed, experiment and mature processes and ways of working, absorbing what is useful and discarding what is not

About you:

Proven experience of managing complex technical projects/programmes through to delivery
Deep knowledge and passion for agile ways of working
Minimum of 5 years experience working with agile teams
The knack for bringing people together to solve problems
The ability to coach and influence others
Great situational awareness
Jira experience
Able to commute to Newcastle-under-Lyme (Staffordshire) two days a week

Nice to haves:

Worked with offshore development teams (India)
Worked in fintech/financial services
