Our Story
Hello there. We’re Zopa.
We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer-to-peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank. A bank that listens to what our customers don’t like about finance and does the opposite. We’re redefining what it feels like to work in finance. Our vision for a new era of banking puts people front and centre — we’ve built a business that empowers everyone to aim high, every day, to move finance forward. Find out more about our fantastic offerings at Zopa.com!
We’re incredibly proud of our achievements and none of it would be possible without the amazing team here. It’s not just industry awards we’re winning, we’ve also been named in the top three UK’s Most Loved Workplaces.
If you embrace unconventional challenges, are unafraid to think differently and are driven to make an outsized impact, you’ll thrive here at Zopa, so join us, and make it count. Want to see us in action? Follow us on Instagram @zopalife
As a Product Designer with Zopa, you'll be involved in shaping the user experience for our banking products and contributing to cross-product design projects. Your contribution will have a meaningful impact on a large scale as we create better solutions for everybody’s money needs. Collaborating closely with fellow designers, product managers, and engineers, you'll be dedicated to creating product experiences that effectively meet customer needs while aligning with business objectives.
We're on the lookout for an empathetic and analytical thinker who's genuinely passionate about delivering real value to customers.

A day in the life:

  • Clearly defining customer problems or goals and aligning them with our commercial priorities and objectives.
  • Gaining an understanding of customer needs through primary or secondary research.
  • Crafting journeys in Figma using our design system.
  • Iterative testing of experiences, with a particular focus on addressing the needs of vulnerable customers.
  • Working closely with team members to deliver experiences in an agile way
  • Collaborating with Product Management to monitor and enhance our experiences as necessary.
  • Actively contributing to Experience Design team initiatives and rituals.

About you:

  • You’re curious about customer needs and experience in participating in user research and user testing.
  • Have the ability to synthesize research (primary and secondary) and arrive at clear conclusions and recommendations.
  • A clear communicator in written, verbal and visual means
  • Experience in creating App and Web journeys that are clear, simple and valuable to customers.
  • You have experience in using a Design System.
  • Are passionate about inclusive design
  • You enjoy working in agile environments as part of cross-functional teams with short feedback loops
  • Possess a growth mindset and look for opportunities for team and personal development
Please include in your application a portfolio of work showing your process from challenge to solution and its impact. Ideally your portfolio will show tangible work examples of your different approaches and deliverables. Thank you, we look forward to hearing from you!
