We are looking for a highly motivated, self-sufficient Cash and Payments Specialist with extraordinary attention to detail. You will be customer focused, possess strong communicative and numerical skills, and work well within a team environment.
The Cash & Payments team plays a key role in supporting the movement of money, primarily for customers across the business but also with our internal accounts. Supporting all products that Zopa offers you will work closely with other teams to process payments, support reconciliations, and ensure the highest level of accuracy so that costs are recorded accurately for the business. You’ll be a team player, liaising closely with other departments in particular other operations teams, and finance ops.
Working Pattern:
09:00 – 17:30 Monday – Friday with a minimum of one day in the office.
A day in the life:
- Inputting and processing payments across different banking platforms
- Payment related issue resolution
- Maintaining company deadlines and SLAs to ensure a great customer experience
- Assist the wider Operations department with any ad-hoc payment related queries
- Assist the Client Assets team with the completion of ad-hoc projects and ensure completion in line with pre-arranged deadlines
- Allocating investor funding – including ISAs
- Submitting daily payment files, including high volume bulk remittances
- Investigating queries from internal and external parties
- Investigating complaints in a timely and thorough manner
- Completing daily money movement reports
- Transferring money between accounts in line with CASS rules
- Administering borrower repayments that occur outside of the normal direct debit scheme
About you:
- You’ll have experience in financial services, ideally in a similar role
- You’re Microsoft Excel proficient
- You can demonstrate a positive approach to change and have experience in a fast-paced working environment
- You display problem solving skills with a customer focused mindset
- You have an extremely high attention to detail and an ability to notice errors and discrepancies in large volumes of data
- You’ll have experience working to specific timeframes and meeting deadlines
- You’re a supportive team member and have experience of working in a high performing team dynamic
- You’ll ideally have experience in a finance team or similar with exposure to money movements processes and CASS regulations
- You may have knowledge of ‘Bankline’ system and associated reports
- You’ll have experienced using in-house systems and databases
