Our Story
Hello there. We’re Zopa.
We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer-to-peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank. A bank that listens to what our customers don’t like about finance and does the opposite. We’re redefining what it feels like to work in finance. Our vision for a new era of banking puts people front and centre — we’ve built a business that empowers everyone to aim high, every day, to move finance forward. Find out more about our fantastic offerings at Zopa.com!
We’re incredibly proud of our achievements and none of it would be possible without the amazing team here. It’s not just industry awards we’re winning, we’ve also been named in the top three UK’s Most Loved Workplaces.
If you embrace unconventional challenges, are unafraid to think differently and are driven to make an outsized impact, you’ll thrive here at Zopa, so join us, and make it count. Want to see us in action? Follow us on Instagram @zopalife
What is a Graduate Analyst? 💡
At Zopa, our Graduate Analysts spark new ideas, shape disruptive strategies, and help build products our customers love.
They combine creative problem solving with strong numerical skills, turning data into insights that drive business decisions. They are storytellers, learning to translate complex analysis into clear, engaging narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
With real autonomy and the chance to collaborate across all levels of the business, they have the chance to make an impact from day one.
It’s no surprise we’re one of the UK’s 100 Most Loved Workplaces. But don’t just take our word for it, hear from some of our recent grads...
“You're surrounded by smart, driven, and insightful people, with whom you are always facing an engaging challenge - there are no boring days here”
“Zopa has broken every negative stereotype I had of working at a bank. As a company it is always pushing new boundaries, and as an individual you are constantly encouraged to innovate”
“I love how you start with a group of graduates from diverse backgrounds at the same time, and Zopa strikes a great balance between challenging you and setting you up for success”
Where will my journey begin? ⛳
You’ll start in a set team, such as Credit Strategy, Data Science, Analytics or our Risk Lab. We will work with you to find the best starting point, giving you a strong foundation for any Analyst role. Throughout our process you’ll learn more about each area, but to give you a flavour...

Credit Strategy 🧮
- Sit at the heart of our profitability and shape how Zopa lends across its portfolio
- Refine lending approaches through modelling, testing, and analysis whilst using some of the best tech in the industry

- Experiment with machine learning, personalisation, and predictive modelling
- Work closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to bring models to life
Where could your career go? 🔮
The short answer is, anywhere! Wherever you start at Zopa, you’ll be developing transferable skills in coding, analytics, data science, and prompt engineering. From the outset, you’ll work on projects that build strong technical and commercial foundations.
We don’t run a rigid rotation, but you’ll have the chance and be encouraged to move between teams in your first few years - gaining knowledge breadth while developing skill depth.
With a strong in-house support network, you will spend time learning about our products, training across key technical skills, and getting to know your peers. As you grow, we’ll give you freedom to explore projects and internal moves that energise you, helping you carve your own path.
